This notice explains how AI is used inside aloworld.
What you are interacting with
aloworld characters are AI-generated English-practice partners.
They are not real people, human tutors, customer-support agents, licensed professionals, crisis counselors, doctors, lawyers, financial advisers, or emergency services.
What the AI does
aloworld uses AI and speech systems to:
- generate character replies
- transcribe user voice input
- synthesize character speech
- provide translations, sentence help, corrections, and feedback
- generate progress reports and skill summaries
- support safety, moderation, and abuse-prevention workflows
What the AI does not do
The AI does not provide:
- crisis support
- emergency instructions
- medical advice
- legal advice
- financial advice
- professional certification
- guaranteed language-learning outcomes
Limits
AI can make mistakes, misread context, hallucinate, produce awkward language, or respond in ways that feel incomplete or wrong.
Speech recognition can mishear you. Speech assessment can mis-score delivery. Text-to-speech output can sound unnatural or pronounce words incorrectly.
aloworld applies safety controls, but no automated system is perfect.
Data sent to providers
Depending on the feature, your messages, transcripts, voice recordings, AI outputs, profile context, safety instructions, and related metadata may be processed by third-party AI and speech providers.
The current named providers that may process end-user data are Google Gemini, AssemblyAI, Microsoft Azure Speech, Cartesia, Inworld, MiniMax, and Fish Audio. The Subprocessors page lists each provider's purpose and data categories.
Human review
Authorized team members may access limited account, report, conversation, and operational data when needed for debugging, abuse prevention, security, legal compliance, or service operations.
aloworld does not provide live crisis handling or individualized safety intervention by email, in-app chat, or AI conversation.
Reporting unsafe output
If a response feels unsafe, misleading, or off-policy, use the in-product report flow when available.

Changes
If the way aloworld uses AI changes materially, we will update this notice and related in-product disclosures before the new workflow is used for end-user traffic.
